State Statistics Committee released data on exports and imports of goods in Ukraine for 2014 (not included information on the temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol). These allows to make a comparison with the previous year and see the dynamics.
Obviously, the revolution and the beginning of military aggression by the Russian Federation during the year did not create a favorable climate for economic activity, so the total amount of exports from Ukraine decreased. The largest reduction was in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. At the same time, most regions of Ukraine, which are far from the war zone (including Zaporizhia Oblast), increased export of goods in 2014.
As for imports, the reduction is even more noticeable. Thus, surprisingly clearly singled out South of the country. No regions showed an increase of goods import in 2014 compared to the previous year.
